Isaiah 9:6—Prince of Peace

"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."

Isaiah 9:6 (NIV)

Prince of Peace means "Ruler of Peace," and Christ rules our hearts and minds with peace (regardless of our circumstances) as He draws us to focus on Him. (Isaiah 26:3 NASB, "The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, because he trusts in You.")

(John 16:33 NASB, "These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.") What a priceless gift and blessing!
