Isaiah 9:6—Mighty God

"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God ..."

Isaiah 9:6 (NIV)

Mighty God means "Almighty God," capable of doing anything! God's gift to us at Christmas removes all our fear. (Psalm 34:4 NASB, "I sought the Lord, and He answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.")

God's gift removes all our guilt. (Hebrews 10:22 TEB, "So let us come near to God with a sincere heart and a sure faith. We have been cleansed and made free from feelings of guilt. And our bodies have been washed with pure water.")

God's gift fills us with joy! (Proverbs 2:10 TLB, "For wisdom and truth will enter the very center of your being, filling your life with joy.")

His name will be called Mighty God. Praise the Lord for all these great blessings.
