Isaiah 9:6—Wonderful Counselor

"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor ..."

Isaiah 9:6 (NIV)

Wonderful Counselor means "Exceptional Counselor," and God's counsel is exceptional because He tells us (through His Word) how to know we're saved, how to address any problems in our marriage or with our child, and how to make the right decision every time! (Proverbs 2:9 TLB, "He shows how to distinguish right from wrong, how to find the right decision every time.") What an amazing gift God gave us at Christmastime!
