2 Corinthians 3:18

"But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit."
2 Corinthians 3:18 (NASB)

Please read the verse again. Does it say, "we are transforming ourselves from glory to glory," or helping the process in any way? No, it doesn't. It says, "we all ... are being transformed." We are not the ones doing the transforming, but the objects being transformed. It doesn't say that this transformation comes "from us," but "from the Lord."
