Philippians 4:8
"Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things."
Philippians 4:8 (NASB)
Here's how to live joyfully every day and "not often consider the years of [our] life." (Ecclesiastes 5:20, "For he will not often consider the years of his life, because God keeps him occupied with the gladness of his heart.")
Think daily about all we can praise God for: His choosing us. (Ephesians 1:4, "Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him.")
His saving us. (Ephesians 2:5, "Even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ [by grace you have been saved.]")
He is taking care of all that concerns us. (Matthew 6:25-27, "For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they? And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life?")
He is eliminating all our worries. (Philippians 4:6, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.")
He is shepherding us. (Psalm 23:1, "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.")
He is answering our prayers. (Matthew 7:11, "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!")
