James 1:2
"Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials."
James 1:2 (NASB)
James, through God's inspiration, knew that trials and problems would be a big part of our daily life. He knew that we are but sojourners in a dark world, filled with fallen people, and our own fallen flesh. That's why he begins his letter by making one of the most paradoxical statements ever made. To paraphrase what he wrote: Consider it all joy when you experience lots of problems (James 1:2).
