John 7:37b-38

"If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’”
John 7:37b-38 (NASB)

This verse is informing us of a glorious freedom-fact! This is not a conditional goal that we attempt to attain. It is a fact that exists for every person who believes in Christ as their Savior. It is God's Spirit who accomplishes this flow of living water within us. The flow is the writing of His Spirit on our hearts: "Being manifested that you are a letter of Christ ... written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God" (2 Corinthians 3:3). It is an act of God, not us. Praise the Lord!
