2 Corinthians 5:17

"Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come."

2 Corinthians 5:17 (NASB)

Every believer "in Christ" has a new identity! We are a new creation! None of our failures define us or are associated with us. (Psalm 103:12, "As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.") We are "righteous" in Christ. (1 Corinthians 1:30, "But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption.") Praise the Lord!
