John 4:14

"But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life."

John 4:14 (NASB)

God causes the Christian life to spring up within us. We don't work at trying to become better Christians, or try to "apply" scripture to our life. (Philippians 2:13, "For it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure." Galatians 3:3, "Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh?" Hebrews 13:20-21, "Now the God of peace, who brought up from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the eternal covenant, even Jesus our Lord, equip you in every good thing to do His will, working in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen." 2 Corinthians 3:18, "But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit." Ephesians 2:10, "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them." Romans 11:36, "For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen.")
