1 John 5:19-20

"We know that we are of God, and that the whole world lies in the power of the evil one. And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life."

1 John 5:19-20 (NASB)

The whole world lies in the power of the evil one! So, don't expect to be treated nice, moral, just, fair, by this world. We belong to the "true God." We have His eternal life abiding in us, which includes His peace, wisdom, joy, and everything we need. How blessed are we?
