1 John 2:8

"On the other hand, I am writing a new commandment to you, which is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away and the true Light is already shining."

1 John 2:8 (NASB)

For today, notice this verse does not say "true TO you" but rather "true ... IN you." Recognize that the nexus of this verse is operating inside of you. The darkness is (progressively) passing away and "the true Light is already shining"—meaning the Light of Christ, God's spoken word with creative power, is already in you—enlightening you. Praise God!
