Acts 13:48

"When the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord; and as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed."

Acts 13:48 (NASB)

We "believe" (the Gospel) because God "appointed us to eternal life"; God just chose us to be saved. Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! We're not saved because of anything about us. We're just "vessels" of God's mercy. (Romans 9:23, "And He did so to make known the riches of His glory upon vessels of mercy, which He prepared beforehand for glory.") Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!
