2 Chronicles 20:15b
"... thus says the Lord to you, 'Do not fear or be dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours but God’s.'"
2 Chronicles 20:15b (NASB)
Sometimes we find ourselves facing a great multitude of problems. Humanly speaking, we always want to know what to do without waiting. What this really means is that our human flesh doesn't believe that we need God. We may say, "These are my problems. I got myself into them. I already feel guilty about them. I need to fix them. It's up to me!" Our flesh believes we can be our own god. But there is a contrary perspective: Wisdom says, "It is not up to you—it is up to God." Scripture is brimming with this truth, promised again and again, but how often do we forget it! Hear the Lord's speaking directly to you: "Be still, and know that I am God" (Psalm 46:10a, KJV).
