John 13:37-38

"Peter said to Him, 'Lord, why can I not follow You right now? I will lay down my life for You.' Jesus answered, 'Will you lay down your life for Me? Truly, truly, I say to you, a rooster will not crow until you deny Me three times.'"

Praise God He knows we're just "dust." (Psalm 103:14, "For He Himself knows our frame; He is mindful that we are but dust.") He knows our best intentions will fail, and He still treats us only out of His "lovingkindness." (Psalm 23:6, "Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.") Praise the Lord!
